To add people as friends you just watch them. Then click on "messages" (it should be just to the right of your username on the toolbar) and look to the box in the right where it lists your friends and press "manage friends."

To get the picture above your age just go to "Submit Deviation" and choose "Deviant ID" Then go to your main page, click "Edit Profile" and choose the "User Page Display" tab. Then you'll see an option saying "Deviant ID"
